Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’ doesn’t make any sense
This section of a Rumi quote opens the book Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life With The Heart Of A Buddha by Tara Brach.
The book has been highly recommended to me by a wise and respected friend.
I love that I haven’t even hit the 1st page and felt the need to comment on the quote the author chose to open her book with. It speaks to me.
I have been struggling with the realization of just how utterly f**ked life can be, that everything we thought we knew or thought we were working towards is, well, not at all what we thought.
I want to embrace the f**ked-ness of life because I believe there is potential power in being more open to not knowing, to living with a totally open heart of naivety, accepting that we can try and strive but not expect it to ever turn out how we planned.
If none of it makes any sense, perhaps this is a wonderful, beautiful, and freeing thing.
